It’s been over a year since Ledo Pizza Restaurant and Pub was last featured in the “Spotlight” here in the News-Press. Since then, the favorite neighborhood spot has continued to churn out some of the best pizza and wings in the area.

If you haven’t been to Ledo Pizza in a while you’ll notice their menu has been slightly enhanced by the addition of several new choices. While Ledo can still be relied on for their dangerously addicting pizza and gigantic buffalo wings (they’re huge), diners who prefer a less “hands-on” experience can opt for one of the new “utensil dependent” dishes.

For the cheese lovers out there, Ledo’s “Blue Cheese Carbonara” will satisfy your craving and then some. Fettuccini noodles tossed with ham and sweet red onions, served in a blue cheese Alfredo sauce, and then topped with blue cheese crumbles, parmesan cheese and bacon. Yeah, that’s one dish. The carbonara is so creamy and rich that cleaning your plate is a challenge. But, if you can’t finish it all, no worries, it just means you’ll have another tasty meal the next night thanks to Ledo and your microwave.

In addition to the carbonara, Ledo’s new “Variety” menu also includes the stromboli (salami, pepperoni, and provolone wrapped in a flaky crust), steak and blue cheese salad and veal or chicken Milanese. Also, the chicken and artichoke sandwich (all white chicken with celery and artichokes, tossed with an herb mayonnaise on a Kaiser roll) is a slight modification of their existing excellent chicken and artichoke sub.As always, Ledo’s rectangular pizza is the star of the restaurant. Weather you like your pizza plain, green, or covered with meat, Ledo will offer one up that fits your taste to a tee. We recommend the mouth-watering pepperoni— their thick cut topping could tempt even the strictest of vegetarians. The more health conscious Veggie pie is also an option, loaded with enough mushrooms, onions and green peppers to make even a rabbit jealous.

Fettuccini, lasagna, ravioli, spaghetti, chicken parm— they’re all here as well. Pasta and pizza fans that can’t decide on one or the other don’t have to. The baked ziti pie is the best of both worlds consisting of ziti, tomato sauce, sausage and melted cheese atop a flaky pie crust.

Looking for the baseball playoffs and a selection of over 20 beers? Searching for a place to watch the game at on Sunday? Ledo Pizza has a full bar and enough TVs to handle your sports addiction. A home team supporter, Redskin fans will feel at home in the bar area (which is separate from the regular dining area) as pictures of Washington’s glorified past adorn the walls.

As one of the most community-involved businesses in the area, Falls Church’s Ledo Pizza is a constant host to fundraisers and can often be seen catering events around Northern Virginia. In keeping with the charitable spirit, Ledo Pizza has teamed up with the Taste of the NFL and Gallo of Sonoma to support Hunger Related Events, an organization working to raise awareness and funds for hunger relief efforts.
