Falls Church City Crime Report For September 21 - 27, 2004

Destruction of Property, Cavalier Trail Park, 222 S. Maple Ave., Sept. 22, 3:20 p.m., a bike patrol officer discovered graffiti spray painted on the basketball court.

Larceny, Shoplifting, 7-11, 201 S. Washington St., Sept. 22, 6:50 p.m., a male subject described as Hispanic, 20 - 25 years of age, wearing a dark short sleeve shirt with white stripes on the sleeves and dark pants entered the store and stole 20 ADC Street Maps from the map stand display. The maps were valued at $259.00.

Destruction of Property, 900 blk. Ellison St., Sept. 23, between 6:15 p.m. and 6:41 p.m., unknown person(s) broke out the rear window of a 2001 Honda Civic. <[>Larceny, Shoplifting, 7-11, 201 S. Washington St., Sept. 24, 12:24 a.m., police arrested a male, 44, of Arlington, VA for concealing merchandise in his pants pocket.

Destruction of Property, 1200 and 1300 blk. Seaton La., Sept. 24, 2:25 a.m., police responded to Seaton for a report of a vehicle that had flipped over and caused damage to a stonewall and a tree. The driver of the vehicle had fled the scene before police arrived.

Drug Equipment Violation, Giant Food, 1230 W. Broad St., Sept. 24, 2:08 p.m., police arrested a male, 46, of Washington D.C. for possessing a crack pipe, hypodermic needles and a metal bottle cap cooker with residue after police stopped him for suspected shoplifting at Giant.

Burglary, Commercial, Student Movers, 406 S. Maple Ave, Sept. 24, between 2:00 p.m. and 10:58 p.m., unknown person(s) forced open an interior office door and removed $150.00 in cash and two handguns.

Larceny, Shoplifting, Giant Food, 1230 W. Broad St., Sept. 25, between 11:40 a.m. and 12:07 p.m., police arrested a male, 24, of Suitland, MD for concealing over $300.00 worth of merchandise in his pants. Mr. Austin also had an outstanding warrant for Robbery from Anne Arundal Co. MD.

Larceny from a Building, Office Building at 450 W. Broad St., between Sept. 24, 12:00 p.m. and Sept. 25, 12:50 p.m., unknown person(s) entered an unsecured office and removed a woman's purse and it's contents. The victim thought a co-worker may have mistakenly taken the purse and did not report it right away. The victim's credit cards were used at several locations in Arlington before she could get them canceled.

Destruction of Property, 900 blk. Ellison St., Sept. 26, 3:23 p.m., unknown person(s) keyed (scratched) a 1994 Toyota Corolla on the trunk and left and right rear corner panels.

Larceny from a Building, City Sunoco, 934 W. Broad St., between Sept. 24, 6:00 p.m. and Sept. 27, 10:01 a.m., unknown person(s) entered a locked storage building and removed a "Pro Snowthrower" snow blower, valued at over $2,400.00
