Falls Church City Crime Report for Week Ending August 30


  • Larceny, 200 blk. W. Broad St., between August 23, 11:00 a.m. and August 24, 3:52 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a woman’s wallet and used a credit card at several locations in the area before she realized that it was missing.
  • Counterfeiting, 7-11, 110 N. West St., August 24, 9:18 p.m., a customer purchased merchandise with a counterfeit $5.00 bill. The customer did not realize that it was counterfeit and stated that he had received the money as change from a store in Tyson’s Mall.
  • Destruction of Property, Kaiser Permanente, 201 N. Washington St., August 24, 4:25 p.m. and August 25, 12:43 a.m., unknown person(s) removed the valve stems from three tires on a 1998 Chevy Pickup causing them to deflate.
  • Larceny from a Motor Vehicle, 1000 blk. N. Tuckahoe St., between August 24, 10:00 p.m. and August 25, 8:27 a.m., unknown person(s) entered two Volvo vehicles and stole a stereo and speakers out of one of the vehicles. Nothing was missing from the other vehicle.
  • Larceny from a Motor Vehicle, 300 blk. Gundry Dr., between August 25, 10:00 p.m. and August 26, 8:39 a.m., unknown person(s) entered three vehicles, a 2003 Toyota, a 1994 Geo and a 1998 Jeep. A Pulse Oximeter that was left in the Toyota was taken. Nothing was missing from the other vehicles.
  • Burglary, Residential, 100 blk. W. Annandale Rd., between August 25, 7:45 p.m. and August 26, 8:55 a.m., police responded to a residence for a report of a vandalism to a motor vehicle. Unknown person(s) forced entry into a Subaru Forester station wagon and stole $3.00 in change and a backpack. It was then discovered that someone had tried to gain entry into the residence by trying to pry open the lock on the front door. Entry was not gained.
  • Destruction of Property, 100 blk. Rolling Trace, between August 25, 8:00 p.m. and August 26, 10:28 a.m., unknown person(s) let the air out of a tire on a 1998 Honda Odyssey.
  • Destruction of Property, Shell Gas Station, 6623 Wilson Blvd., August 27, 10:01 p.m., unknown person(s) spray painted graffiti on the side of the business.
  • Damage to Property, 1000 blk. Broadmont Terrace, August 28, 10:50 p.m., unknown person(s) shot three paintballs at the screen door of a residence.
  • Tampering with an Auto, 300 blk. S. Maple Ave., August 29, 1:40 a.m., a resident noticed a man standing by the resident’s car with the door standing open. The resident asked the man what he was doing near his car and the man walked away towards the park. The man was described as a white male, over 6’ tall wearing baggy jeans and a red shirt. The vehicle was ransacked but nothing was found to be missing.
  • Larceny, Koons Ford, 1051 E. Broad St., between August 28, 2:00 p.m. and August 30, 9:45 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a motorcycle helmet that was left hanging on the foot peg of a motorcycle.
  • Larceny of Motor Vehicle Parts, 500 blk. Roosevelt Blvd., between July 5, 12:01 a.m. and August 30, 12:53 p.m., unknown person(s) removed the license plate off of a 1982 BMW motorcycle.
