Crime Report for Falls Church City For Week Ending August 9
- Destruction of Property, Swedish Motor Cars, 551 N. Washington St., between July 30, 7:30 p.m. and August 3, 10:17 a.m., unknown person(s) damaged a 1996 Saab Convertible by puncturing the top with a pen.
- Larceny from a Motor Vehicle, (Parking Garage) 105 W. Broad St., August 4, between 8:30 a.m. and 11:12 p.m., unknown person(s) broke out the drivers side and passenger side windows of a 1997 Chrysler Mini Van and once inside removed a fanny pack containing a wallet, two gift certificates and other miscellaneous items.
- Destruction of Property, Islamic Center for Education and Information, 360 S. Washington St., between August 5, 9:40 p.m. and August 6, 3:48 p.m., unknown person(s) entered an office and pried open a storage cabinet. A donation box was also forced open but nothing was taken because it was empty.
- Destruction of Property, 300 blk. N. Maple Ave., between August 6, 5:00 p.m. and August 7, 1:03 p.m., unknown person(s) broke out the rear passenger window of a 2002 Toyota Corolla.
- Larceny from a Building, Giant Food, 1230 W. Broad St., August 7, between 4:45 p.m. and 7:23 p.m., unknown person(s) stole the wallet out of a purse that was left unattended in a shopping cart.
- Forgery/Uttering, Checks Cashed, 114 W. Broad St., August 9, 11:18 a.m., police arrested a male, 43, of Centreville VA, for forging his name on two checks he was trying to cash.
- Larceny from a Motor Vehicle, All Tune and Lube, 501 N. Washington St., between August 5, 7:30 p.m. and August 9, 12:13 p.m., unknown person(s) broke out the passenger side window of a Ford Mustang and a Mitsubishi SUV and removed stereo equipment and speakers.
