Critter Corner
FOR MANY OF his nearly 18 years, miniature poodle Joey greeted everyone on the W&OD bike trail and Venice Street between Pinecastle and Virginia Lane. As time went on, that large stretch diminished somewhat; more recently along Allan Avenue and Tower Street. Finally, just within his Carol Place cul-de-sac. Everyone’s friend, Joey passed away recently. Monika and Doug Cornell, Joey’s owners, want all those to know that only a brain seizure brought him to a complete stop. He was never sick in his life, and he died quietly and painlessly last Friday morning under Dr. Rogers’ care.
