Members of the Summer Day Care Program at Thomas Jefferson Elementary enjoy the summer sun. The summer program provides supervision and education for Falls Church elementary and middle school students. The program is an extension of the Falls Church Day Care program which will be celebrating its 30th year this fall. Katie Clinton, Director of the program at Thomas Jefferson Elementary said that Summer Day Care keeps an educational continuity for students through the long summer months. The program stresses a different theme each week, from the arts to the Olympics. "They don't know they're doing something they should be doing," said Clinton. Along with teaching students at the school, the program also takes the kids on field trips every Wednesday. (News-Press photo)
