Falls Church City Crime Report for Week Ending July 19
- The following three burglaries were committed in the same building but on different floors. Entry to the building was gained from the outside by prying open an outside window:
- Burglary, HD General Dentistry, 510 N. Washington St., between July 12, 5:00 p.m. and July 13, 6:20 a.m., unknown person(s) pried open the front door to the business. Nothing was taken from inside.
- Burglary, Tax Analysts, 510 N. Washington St., between July 12, 4:00 p.m. and July 13, 7:33 a.m., unknown person(s) pried open the front door of the business. Desks and file cabinets were gone through, however, nothing was found to be missing at the time.
- Burglary, American Press Works, 510 N. Washington St., between July 12, 7:15 p.m. and July 13, 9:41 a.m., unknown person(s) pried open the door to the stairway and entered the business through a unlocked front door. Once inside, a laptop computer was taken from a conference.
- Larceny from a Building, The Falls Church, 115 E. Fairfax St., between July 11, 9:00 a.m. and July 13, 9:43 a.m., unknown person(s) entered the church offices and removed several computers, a digital camera, and a camcorder.
- Larceny, Shoplifting, 7-11, 201 S. Washington St., July 13, 2:12 p.m., police arrested a male, 21, of Falls Church, (County), for stealing two twelve packs of beer.
- Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 408 S. Maple Ave., (parking lot), July 13, 3:40 p.m., police arrested a male, 37, of Herndon, VA. for stealing a 2003 Ford Explorer from Fairfax VA. on July 11, 2004.
- Larceny from a Building, 103 W. Broad St. (Suite 500), between June 18, 7:00 p.m. and July 14, 1:59 p.m., unknown person(s) entered a secured area within an office and removed a laptop computer and two credit cards.
- Motor Vehicle Theft, Koons Ford (Used Cars), 1051 E. Broad St., between Mar. 1, and Mar. 29, 2004, (reported on July 15, 12:48 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee from the parking lot.
- Damage to Property, 1100 blk. Lincoln Ave., between July 15, 2:00 p.m. and July 16, 2:49 p.m., unknown person(s) damaged a 2000 Jeep Cherokee by drivers by bending in the drivers side mirror in towards the door and cracking the mirror.
- Destruction of Property, 200 blk. S. Lee St., July 17, between 12:45 a.m. and 10:50 a.m., unknown person(s) punctured the driver’s side tires on a 1992 Dodge Caravan.
- Destruction of Property, 200 blk. S. Lee St., July 17, between 12:45 a.m. and 10:50 a.m., unknown person(s) punctured the driver’s side tires on a 1993 Plymouth Voyager and a 1991 Toyota Camry.
- Destruction of Property, 300 blk. N. Lee St., between July 16, 8:00 p.m. and July 18, 7:48 p.m., unknown person(s) punctured a tire on a 2003 Toyota Avalon.
- Destruction of Property, 900 blk. Lincoln Ave., between July 18, 11:00 p.m. and July 19, 4:12 a.m., unknown person(s) broke the rear window out of a 1995 Dodge Caravan with a beer bottle.
- Larceny from a Building, Unity Club, 116B W. Broad St., between July 18, 9:45 p.m. and July 19, 5:35 a.m., unknown person(s) broke the front glass door to the Unity Club. Approximately $38.00 in cash was taken from the cash register.
- Destruction of Property, Association & Society Management, 201 Park Washington Ct., between July 16, 5:00 p.m. and July 19, 9:08 a.m., unknown person(s) damaged a 1987 Lincoln Cont. that was parked in the parking lot by ripping off the front grill, ripping off the outside mirrors and the rear view mirror. The front license plate was also stolen. Unknown person(s) also entered a shed next to the vehicle and stole $50.00 worth of office supplies.
