Crime Report for the Week Ending June 14


  • Larceny, Shoplifting, Giant Food, 1230 W. Broad St., June 4, 12:16 p.m., police arrested a female, 45, of Falls Church (City), for stealing over $100.00 in merchandise.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft, 200 blk. N. Maple Ave., between June 8, 12:00 p.m. and June 9, 10:36 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a 1997 Plymouth Neon from the parking lot. The vehicle was later recovered in Capitol Heights Maryland.
  • Larceny, Shoplifting, 7-11, 110 N. West St., June 11, 3:06 a.m., a male subject entered the store and sole a 12 pack of beer and fled without paying for it.
  • Larceny from a Motor Vehicle, Herb’s Auto Repair, 802 S. Washington St., between June 10, 10:00 p.m. and June 11, 7:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole the rear license plate off of a 1984 Toyota Camry that was parked in the lot for service.
  • Larceny, Shoplifting, Giant Food, 1230 W. Broad St., June 11, 10:59 p.m., police arrested a 17 year old male for stealing over $30.00 in merchandise.
  • Liquor Law Violation, 100 blk. W. Cameron Rd., June 12, 9:26 p.m., police arrested a male, 19 of Manassas VA. for possessing alcohol underage. Also arrested for the same charge was a male, 18, of Falls Church (City). Both were released on a summons. An adult male, 24, of Arlington, VA was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was also released on a summons.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft, Citgo, 100 Hillwood Ave., between May 31, 12:00 p.m. and June 13, 11:16 a.m., a 1991 Toyota Camry that had been left for service was stolen from the gas station parking lot. Fairfax County police made traffic stop on this vehicle and found it to be stolen. Three subjects were arrested in the incident.
  • Assault, Simple, 100 blk. N. Fairfax St., June 13, 8:24 p.m., a vehicle with a group of white males in it drove by a residence and threw an egg at a man who was working in his yard. The egg struck the man in the leg.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft, 100 blk. E. Annandale Rd., between June 10, 12:00 p.m. and June 14, 10:46 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a 1988 Peugeot that had been parked in the parking lot for over a year.
