Divya Nettimi of the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology, in Alexandria was one of 20 students named to USA Today’s 18th Annual All-USA High School Academic First Team.

The team of 20 was selected by a panel of judges from 1,606 nominees nationwide.

Divya was one of three first team members who won the Siemens Award for Advanced Placement, given annually to 24 students scoring the highest on the most Advanced Placement tests. She was the top-scoring girl in the country.

The students making the first team will each receive a trophy and $2,500 cash award.
