Critter Corner

FRIEND OR FOE? Betty M. Goose guards the entrance to 604 E. Broad St., home of the Sprankles. Legends of the “Guard Goose” go back to Colonial times when geese, territorial and aggressive by nature, were used as sentinels to warn of strangers or dangerous animals. Betty is ferocious (if not a welcome harbringer of spring) in her bumble bee outfit and is certainly a fine example of today’s “guard goose.” Wanna make your pet a star?
