The Falls Church News-Press is hosting its second Spring Political Issues Forum next Thursday, Mar. 25, in the Council chambers of City Hall at 300 Park Ave. in the City of Falls Church.

The speaker is author David Cole. His topic is "Enemy Aliens and American Freedoms: How the War on Terrorism Has Undermined Our Freedom and Our Security."

Cole is the author of a new book, Enemy Aliens, and will have copies of the book available for purchase and signing. He is a professor at the Georgetown University Law Center and a volunteer staff attorney for the Center for Constitutional Rights. He is a legal affairs correspondent for The Nation magazine and a commentator for National Public Radio's "All Things Considered."

In addition to Enemy Aliens, Cole is the author of Terrorism and the Constitution: No Equal Justice.

The event is free and open to the public. A question and answer period will follow the author's remarks.

Last spring, the News-Press hosted author Robert Dreyfuss , a frequent contributor to The American Prospect and The Nation, who spoke to a standing-room-only audience at the same location.
