Crime Report for Week Ending January 27
- Motor Vehicle Theft, U-Haul, 1107 W. Broad St., between Jan. 18, 4:00 p.m. and Jan. 20, 2:24 p.m., a woman came into U-Haul and rented a truck. The woman did not return the vehicle. The woman gave false information and phone numbers so that U-Haul could not contact her. Fairfax County police later located the vehicle in Burke and it was returned to U-Haul.
- Destruction of Property, 200 blk. Patterson St., Jan. 20, 10:20 a.m., a resident went out to her vehicle which was parked on the street and found that the windshield was broken on the passenger side and there were marks along the side of the vehicle.
- Motor Vehicle Theft, Koons Auto Body, 430 Roosevelt Blvd., between Jan. 8, (unknown time) and Jan. 21, 1:13 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a 2002 Toyota Celica from the parking lot.
- Larceny, Shoplifting, Advanced Auto, 1104 W. Broad St., Jan. 21, 1:35 p.m., police arrested a male, 56, of Fairfax VA, for allegedly stealing over $100.00 in auto parts.
- Larceny from a Vehicle, 900 S. Washington St., (parking lot), unknown person(s) entered an unlocked 1991 Ford Explorer and removed the ignition key which had been left in the center console, a heated seat massager and a cell phone battery charger.
- Destruction of Property, 200 blk. S. Virginia Ave., Jan. 25, between 12:00 a.m. and 9:34 a.m., unknown person(s) egged the front door of a residence. The resident saw two male juveniles carrying skateboards, ages 12 – 13, outside the residence a little after midnight acting suspiciously.
- Burglary, Commercial, Super Chicken, 422 S. Washington St., between Jan. 24, 10:00 p.m. and Jan. 25, 9:44 a.m., unknown person(s) forced open the rear door leading into the kitchen. Once inside unknown person(s) stole a small amount of cash, a VCR, a CD player and some music disks. Also, missing were keys to a 1993 Toyota 4 door, which was also missing. The Leesburg VA police later recovered the stolen Toyota.
- Larceny, Seven Corners Amoco, 6701 Wilson Blvd., between Jan. 25, 11:00 p.m. and Jan. 26, 11:25 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a diesel gas hose and nozzle from the gas station.
- Destruction of Property, 100 blk. Chanel Terrace, between Jan. 26, 12:00 a.m. and Jan. 27, 2:14 p.m., unknown person(s) threw bricks on top of a 2000 Jeep SUV causing damage to the roof, hood and grill.
