Crime Report for Week Ending January 19
- Destruction of Property, Koons Ford Auto Body Shop, between Dec. 5, 2003 and Jan. 13, 2004, 10:15 a.m., unknown person(s) broke out the rear window of a 2001 Honda Accord that was parked in the parking lot for service.
- Larceny from a Building, 500 N. Washington St., between Dec. 23, 2003 and Jan. 13, 9:48 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a check from an office and cashed it at a local bank.
- Burglary, Commercial, Koons Ford, 1051 E. Broad St., Jan. 15, 1:49 a.m., police arrested a male, 19, of Falls Church (City) after an officer on patrol noticed his vehicle parked in the rear of the Eden Center and backed up to the rear of Koons Ford. The officer noticed two computers lying on the ground behind his vehicle and several more in the back seat of his vehicle. It was quickly determined that the computers came from an office at Koons Ford that had been recently broken into.
- Destruction of Property, parking lot at 1150 W. Broad St., Jan. 15, 10:04 p.m., a witness states that he saw a silver Honda Prelude drive up to 1991 Honda Accord that was parked in the lot. An Asian male got out of the Prelude and slashed the right rear tire on the Accord.
- Larceny, Shoplifting, 7-11, 201 S. Washington St., Jan. 16, 5:56 p.m., a male subject entered the store and stole a bottle of beer and left the store without paying for it.
- Drug/Narcotic Violation/Liquor Law Violations, Inns of Virginia, 421 W. Broad St., Jan. 18, 12:55 a.m., police received a loud party call involving juveniles at the Inns of Virginia. Upon arrival police noticed a large amount of alcohol in the room. They also notice a bag of suspected cocaine on the floor in the corner. Ten adults were arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. A 13 year old male juvenile and a 15 year old male juvenile were released to an responsible adult with charges pending. Arrested were a male, 21, of Chantilly, Va.; a male, 22, of Alexandria, Va.; a male, 18, of Falls Church, Va. (county); a male, 18, of Falls Church, Va. (county); a male, 18, of Alexandria, Va.; a female, 19, of Alexandria, Va.; a male, 19, of Falls Church, Va. (county); a male, 22, of Chantilly, Va.; a male, 21, of Alexandria, Va., and a female, 18, of Hyattsville, Md.
